Wexford Playschool Daily Activities
At our playschool each child's daily routine is set out in structured activities while allowing flexibility for spontaneous learning opportunities and activities initiated by the child.
Individual children's progress is observed and recorded at our Playschool.
Regular meetings are held between parents and key workers. Good nutritious
food is provided by us for children attending for full day.
Our playschool daily activities include.
Circle-time;
getting to know each other, gain confidence, discussions.- Creative Play; painting, colouring, arts & crafts, play dough, model making.
- Rhyme, stories and songs and musical instruments.
- Physical activities; movements to music, games, dancing, exercise, stretch and grow class.
- Table-top activities; jigsaws, lego, k-nex, stickle bricks, traditional games.
- Imaginary play; dress-up, home corner, shop, garage, hairdressers, puppets.
- Sand & water play; pouring, sinking and floating, measuring.
- Geography; our world, culture, festivities, the continents, dinosaurs.
- Science & Nature; plant life, cycle of butterfly, seasons, pets, wild animals and frogs.
- Construction; large & small blocks, tubes.
- Colours, shapes, pencil control, numbers and sounds.
